What We Believe Will Help Your Child...

What We DON'T Believe Will Help Your Child...

What Principles We Foster...

Our school philosophy is based on the teaching, and subsequently the implementation, of correct principles in the lives of our students. It is our belief and experience that children with varying abilities will respond positively and permanently to the teaching and internalization of correct principles.

Most of our students come to us because what they are receiving in public education is not properly suited to their needs. We provide more attention by our well-trained staff by keeping our class sizes small and emphasizing relationships and one-on-one attention.

Our typical student is a young man of above-average intelligence that is failing in the public school system as well as in his relationships with family, teachers, and those who would normally be his advocates and mentors.

We believe that the golden rule is the foundation upon which any successful institution should be built. All children in the school are treated with respect and with a sincere desire to build a positive relationship in a disciplined and caring environment.

Some of the basic principles taught, re-taught &

enshrined in the minds of our students are the following:

Courage lies at the basis of every great life.

Fortitude is the ability to take what life hands us in a way that allows us to stay the course and maintain control of our own emotions and with that our futures.

Generosity, not just of our means but also of our time and compassion, is the cause and course of true greatness.

That regardless of what the world may tell us is true or desirable, the pursuit of wisdom through the acquisition of knowledge and through thoughtful experience will help us develop traits that will lead to a successful life.

True happiness comes through service to others.

Not doing well in school, or not being challenged enough, can lead to boredom, depression, and ultimately self-destructive behavior. At Spirit Dance Academy we understand that dealing with teenagers can be difficult even under normal circumstances, but parenting a teen who is struggling in school can be even more so.

Challenges such as these can cause overwhelming stress and can be a destructive influence in a family. During challenging times when the problems that face a young person and their family exceed their ability to find a satisfactory resolution to those problems on their own, it is important to choose an alternative that can truly effect change and salvage the future, and not just the academic future, of those children.

Our students will develop courage as we push them to take on projects and initiatives they would not have dared try before. They will have new experiences that allow them to broaden their horizons.

In addition to making generosity an important individual value, the experiences he has here will teach him gratitude for the precious things he takes for granted in his life.
